On the occasion of the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair, the Organising Committee is pleased to announce the result of the draw for the first grant which took place last Friday 20th October.

Patrick Stevens from Belgium has won a grant to attend EuroBiO 2006. The grant includes travel and hotel costs together with a full pass. Patrick will be staying with EuroBiO’s Guest Speakers and VIPs at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette.

A second grant has yet to be won to attend the AAAS Annual Meeting in San Francisco 15-19 February 2007.

One-to-One meetings with recruiters

EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair is a two-day event with one-to-one meetings between recruiters and job seekers on Wednesday 25th October followed on Thursday 26th October by two career symposia and a round table. It’s a tremendous opportunity bringing together companies, universities and job seekers.
Its primary aim is to help postgraduate level personnel find positions in Europe, either in their domestic markets or across national borders.

EuroBioJobs.org, the official job portal for the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair, is a state-of-the-art job portal designed for the industrial/ academic border-crossing European Life Science community, created through the cooperation of scientists and the bio-industry. Fitted with the latest matching technology, it allows both job seekers of all levels and recruiters to find each other very efficiently.

Bio-industries and related companies can highlight their current and near future job openings, free of charge, at the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair job portal, hosted by EuroBioJobs.org and then register to interview candidates at the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair, or just to introduce their companies to the large panel of candidates visiting the show.
Job seekers can create their specific profile, free of charge, on the job portal knowing that recruiters participating in the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair will be screening their CV.  By registering for the EuroBiO 2006 Career Fair candidates can apply for one-to-one meetings with companies they are particularly interested in.
